Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer (with Python and AWS) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a movement of engaged citizens using their collective voices to end extreme poverty by 2030. On the platform, they learn about the systemic causes of extreme poverty, take action on those issues, and earn rewards for their efforts — as part of a global community committed to lasting change. The stack is currently Python/Django/React, but then not a relatively easy requirement as development experience is more important, and no stack is set in stone as techniques and frameworks change (however, having overlap experience is very useful).
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of working experience.
  • 1 year of experience focused on AWS DevOps.
  • We prefer smart and passionate above pedigree.
  • Expertise in AWS stack: EC2/ECS/EKR. RDS/Aurora. ElastiCache/Elasticsearch.
  • Knowledge of Ansible/Terraform.
  • Experience with Python with Docker.
  • Knowledge of EKS/Kubernetes (optional).

  • Communications:

    • Good communication skills in English (upper-intermediate or above verbal comprehension and speaking).

    • Have to be vocal and speak up - remote communication skills are essential.

  • Culture fit:

    • Experience working with team members sitting across time zones

    • Desire to become part of a team rather than a separate entity that just writes code for a client. Travel will be required to New York for a week or more each year.
